Former NFL player Aaron Hernandez has been found guilty of first degree murder and has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Hernandez was also found guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
The former New England Patriots tight end appeared upset but remained calm as the verdict was read. After being found guilty, Hernandez’s lawyer put his arm around him as his mother and fiancee wept.
