Former New York Jets running back Chris Johnson was shot in the shoulder after being involved in a drive-by.

The two passengers in the car with Johnson, 29, were both shot as well, with one of them dying from wounds.

The free-agent was on his way to a recording studio after leaving a concert in Orlando, Florida.

Orange County Sheriff officials say the shooting took place around Sunday morning (Mar. 8) around 4:09 AM. A homicide investigation is underway.

Johnson is in stable condition, and is expected to make a full recovery. However, with tomorrow March 10 being the start of free agent signing, who knows if Johnson will get picked up after this tragic incident.
