Pitcher for the Cleveland Indians Carlos Carrasco was hit in the face by a line drive off White Sox player Melky Cabrera.
Thankfully, the ball made contact with Carrasco’s glove first.

However, the ball still made quite a significant impact. After having to leave the game early, Carrasco is only being treated with a bruised jaw.
Indians head coach Terry Francona said after the game, “In the big picture, we dodged a really big bullet. Really fortunate.”
Carrasco is the Indians No. 2 starter.
The tragic incident looks worse than the result was, but it was a very scary moment nonetheless.
