All the shooting guard heard was MVP chants.

And he feeds off that.

The Houston Rocket scored a career-high 50 points in a 118-108 win over the Denver Nuggets.

Harden, 25, is one of the hottest players in the NBA right now. As a matter of fact, he’s been hot all season. The MVP candidate is having his best season yet, averaging 27.1 points per game. He is currently second to Russell Westbrook, who is averaging 27.6 PPG.

The Rockets (46-22) are looking good for the playoffs as Harden continues to dominate without the help of injured center Dwight Howard. Thus far, last night was Harden’s 29th game with at least 30 points and seventh game with 40 this season.
