Jason Collins Makes History To Become The First Openly Gay NBA Player

Last year NBA center , Jason Collins, 35, announced that he was gay.  Today (Sun. Feb, 23) he signed to join the Nets.

This is the first time in history that not only the National Basketball Association has ever had an openly gay player on the court, but any of the four major North American professional sports – N.B.A N.F.L, Major League Baseball and the N.H.L.
