Jordan Morris might be the next Landon Donovan.
In the second half of the U.S. men’s national team friendly against rival Mexico, Morris scored what was the first goal in the 2-0 win for the U.S.
The 20-year-old who plays at Stanford University, was in the right place at the right time as the young star booted the soccer ball over Mexico’s goalkeeper.

Following the victory at the Alamodome in Texas, U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann said, “Everybody was on the same page: We want to get a result and we want to do well.”
Morris, who was born in Seattle, also plays for the Seattle Sounders development league. The All-Pac-12 player is a rising star in the soccer world, and will be a major contributor for the national team in the future.
