We hope that you’re ready to Roar, because Katy Perry is rumored to perform at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show.

According to an entertainment insider from the New York Post Katy Perry is favored over contenders Rihanna and Coldplay. “A deal is being hammered out for Katy to play the Super Bowl,” a source told The Post.

Perry recently appeared on College GameDay, and was a hit with the youth. For the last couple of years, halftime performers have been chosen to target a younger demographic. Such acts have included the Black Eyed Peas and Beyoncé. Last year, the Super Bowl had a record viewership with 111.5 viewers, with Bruno Mars performing.

Super Bowl XLIX will take place Feb. 1, 2015 in Glendale, Arizona.
