LeBron James and Stephan Curry Unanimous All-NBA Selections
The 2014-15 All-NBA team was released today and is headlined by the only two unanimous selections Golden State’s Stephen Curry and Cleveland’s LeBron James. While it is Curry’s first appearance, this is James’s ninth, tying him for third all-time with Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Oscar Robertson.
Curry was also named the league’s MVP as he lead the Warriors to their best season ever, while ranking in the top six in points, assists, and steals.
LeBron was fourth in scoring and seventh in assists, leading the Cavs to the second best record in the Eastern Conference.
Houston’s James Harden was name to the other guard position while Anthony Davis was named to the other forward position. Memphis’s Marc Gasol rounded out the team at center.
The second team is made up of Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge, Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins, Chicago’s Pau Gasol, Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook, and the L.A. Clippers Chris Paul.
The third team consists of the Clipper’s Blake Griffin, San Antonio’s Tim Duncan, Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan, Golden State Klay Thompson, and Cleveland’s Kyrie Iriving.
DeMarcus Cousins received 18 first place votes, the most of any one not named to the first team.
