Philadelphia Eagles’ running back LeSean McCoy made headlines recently with a record-breaking performance. No, he didn’t break the single-game rushing mark. He may have secured the record for the worst tip of all time.
The story broke when Tommy Up, owner of Philly-based restaurant PYT Burger, posted a photo of the multi-millionaire’s gratuity on the restaurant’s Facebook page earlier this month.
When I first saw McCoy’s receipt, I couldn’t believe it.
Twenty cents? Was this a tip on a sleeve of Pringles from the dollar store?
Once my head stopped spinning, I decided to dig deeper and see just how bad the tip really was. The best way to get my answer: zone in on a few questions and do the math.
So I dusted off the ole pencil and notepad (calculator) and performed a few simple equations based on my shortlist of questions. The results were shocking and, naturally, needed to be shared with the world/internet.
