Last year for Super Bowl media day, Marshawn Lynch was a no show. This year, the NFL said that they would fine him $500,000 if he didn’t talk. So Lynch made an appearance.
Yesterday (Jan. 27) it was the Seattle Seahawks media day for Super Bowl XLIX, and when Lynch took the stage, the media swarmed him.
The running back is known for his loathing of talking to reporters, so the media was anxious to hear what he had to say since he wanted to avoid the fine.
Lynch started the process by warning the media that they could ask him all the questions they’d like, but he is going to answer all of them with the same answer. And he did— 29 times.
Lynch felt 5 minutes was all that he had to speak for, and that’s how long he stayed. He ended his media day session with, “Time!”
