Former Naval Academy standout pitcher Mitch Harris will be making his major league debut today (April 21) for the St. Louis Cardinals. The best part? The team will be taking on the Washington Nationals in D.C.

Getting called up from Triple-A Memphis, Harris will be the first player in the bigs since 1921. The 13th-round pick by the Cards in 2008, has a 2.45 ERA in four Triple-A appearances this season.
The 29-year-old joined the Cards in February of 2013 after completing his service with the Navy. During that time Harris was aboard the USS Ponce in the Persian Gulf.
